Dessert cheese is a generic term for cheeses which are typically too rich to eat as an appetiser but make perfect final courses or accompaniments for fruit and wine. There’s a wide range of dessert cheese available, from sweet and creamy brie to tangy goat’s cheese. Dessert cheese also goes well with nuts and crackers. Dessert cheese does make a great addition to a cheeseboard but will often be too overpowering to use when cooking or as an appetiser.
